Declaration of Interdependence

How did we make this?

I, Douglas of New York's East Village, declare that interdependence is a healthy co-metabolism of love and pain, a way of living in which what sustains me also asks something of me. I hold this to be plain: not enough of my interdependents are named yet, but I am learning to notice the people, creatures, and living systems that make my life possible. I want humanity to reach the evolutionary maturity of mycelia or a tree, learning to accommodate others as part of its nature. To help bring that future closer, I commit as fully as I can, and as fully as needed.
