I, Jon of Eugene, Oregon, declare that I am cared for and supported by those around me, and that I care for them in turn. I hold this to be plain: I depend on the systems that hold my life, seen and unseen, and on the people close enough to lean on. They are not background but the ground I stand on. I commit to do everything I can to support equality, wherever I find it lacking.
