Declaration of Interdependence

I, Amelia of The Bay Area watershed, declare that mutual respect and reciprocity hold my life together — in food systems, in partnerships, in the price of gas. I hold these connections plain: my watershed, my community, the forest where I live, the dump where my trash goes, the people in my home, the generations behind me, and the generation ahead whose lives my choices will shape. To them I commit local food, time with my niece, regular climbs up Mt Tamalpais, and a family dinner each month.
